    Merchant Ships Really fire Screamo Midwest Emo band. One of the first bands I discovered when I first got into the genre years ago. They've really helped me get this far tbh. I was looking forward to their reunion tour a couple of years ago, until it was cancelled since one of the members said some racist shit on Facebook or something like that.
    Your Arms Are My Cocoon One of the best bedroom skramz projects. The twinklyness of it all combined with its lofi elements make it so great. Ive also seen them live before (it was awesomeee).
    Midwest Pen Pals This was this first Midwest emo band I heard and I immediately fell in love with the genre.
    Algernon Cadwallader I really wanted to see these guys when they went on a reunion tour but wasnt able to. Anyways, go read Flowers for Algernon.

    Starry Cat Experimental solo lofi project by Sam Ray from Teen Suicide/Ricky Eat Acid/Heroin Party/Julia Brown/American Pleasure Club. It was made to help raise funds for Caroline White who had to have multiple surgeries. Luckily, it worked.
